Bashi Arts offers affordable dance education programs for Disabled and non-Disabled youth, pre-professional, and professional dancers, grounded in Disability Justice and Black feminist pedagogies.
All Bashi Arts education offerings are based on two curricular frameworks developed by co-founders Enya-Kalia Jordan and Rachel DeForrest Repinz:

KIDS

Partnering with your school for semester-long or year-round dance residencies, offering multiple sessions that integrate into the school day.

Offered as a stand-alone program or as an extension of an in-school residency, providing additional opportunities for dance study beyond the classroom.ere

One-time, customized workshops in specific dance styles, designed to support students’ individual goals and interests.

Lecture-demonstration performances for a variety of in-school events including assemblies, celebrations (ex: Black History Month, Disability Pride Month, Women’s History Month), and more.

COMMUNITY

Dance classes & community workshops to students of all ages and levels, grounded in Disability Justice and Black feminist dance pedagogies.
Community offerings are unique to each community that we serve, and may include wellness-based movement classes, affinity spaces, and community development workshops.
